The PS saddle tree was developed and patented by PASSIER 40 years ago and is still made in our own factory. More than 1200 manual steps are necessary in its construction. The main materials are wood and leather. In order to attain a high flexibility bamboo canes are then worked into the tree. The material used in the synthetic saddle tree is an Elastomer, which was tested under space-age conditions and is used in many industrial products. With normal treatment this saddle tree will not break. PASSIER provides a 10 years guarantee on the synthetic saddle tree. Both, the PS and the synthetic saddle tree have gullet plates made from high quality alloyed steel.
